To think
To think I used to be a empty beach where people would visit me for a cool breeze or sunrise
To think i used to have trash wash up on my shore
To think I was once considered worthless now I’m a diamond in the rough
To think I wasn’t a main attraction, but now I’m a main event
To think i was once a beach with the lonesome smell of loneliness
To think I was once a nameless beach to Tel Aviv
To think people now stop at my shore to walk my hard coarse sand
To think I was industrialized with roads and buildings
To think I was once a darkless beach like a candle with no flame
To think I once watched the sunrise and now I have building blocking my view
To think people eat my food, live in my buildings, and watch my sunset
To think I used to believe I would still be inhabited
To think I became top tier and made new friends
To think my sand used to be bottled in a jar so people could say they visited somewhere foreign
To think my fellow brothers and sisters didn’t want to acknowledge me
To think I still have brothers and sisters out there I don’t know about
To think my name means hill of spring in Hebrew.
To think I was discovered April 11, 1909
To think it was 111 years ago from this day
To think, To think, To think,.
