A Villain wouldn’t sacrifice you
People say the villain would sacrifice the world for you,
That the hero would sacrifice you for the world,
But that’s not true,
The villain would sacrifice everything for themselves,
Because they want only you,
The hero would sacrifice themselves for everything,
Because they want a better world for you,
The villain lets out a loud cry and the world shatters,
The villain would display that void for you to pity,
The hero smiles as their world shatters,
The hero shields you from their void,
People say the reason we never hear the villains side,
Is simply to make the hero seem more glorious,
But the hero’s tale isn’t full of glory,
The hero silently suffers,
Forced to trek on,
Forced to fight on,
The villain uses suffering,
To force others to fight,
Force others to suffer as well,
The hero’s mantra is ‘don’t cry’,
The hero would give everything to see a smile,
That smile is the only reward,
The only glory,
And to the hero that’s worth it,
The villains mantra is ‘see me!’,
The villain would give everything to smile,
That smile is their prize,
Their reward,
And to them it’s still not worth it,
Never say the hero cares any less,
The hero sacrifices in silence.
Just because one cries louder,
Does not mean the other doesn't cry at all,
