Can’t Disturb the Peace
Laying in the water, completely still.
Can’t get up or out, getting chills.
Mustn’t move, can’t send ripples,
Have to stay cold, even if it kills.
Because ripples don’t just fade, also grow,
That’s why we can’t move, don’t even float,
After all- we can’t risk rocking your boat.
Moving downwards, slowly sinking,
Now submerged, still not resisting,
At this point, we’re not breathing!
Because if we breathe, resist or struggle,
It would lead to ripples, waves, and bubbles.
Can’t disturb the peace, even if we’d love to.
Because we can’t disturb the peace, even if we’d love to.
