Shattered self image

Who is staring back at me

Tired eyes paint her cheeks

She is not the same as she used to be

Gripping on to what she has left

Drowning in the waves

Dripping from her lips

What she consumed

Earlier than this

She has lost control

Relapse

Repeat

Trying to feel free

Trying to be seen

this is a piece about a topic i know a lot of people struggle with. self image, body issues, eating disorders, etc. i would like for people to read this and interpret it how they relate to it. I would also love to help even one person wtih feeling like maybe they're not alone.
