It's Okay to have butterflies in your stomach, as long as you make them fly in formation

His name is engraved in stone,
for prowess in the face of death.
Guru Tegh Bahadur, the ninth Sikh Guru,
was a man of valour,
a man who fought till his last breath.

He protected the weak,
guided those who wandered off track,
he preached the truths of life,
‘What goes around, comes back.’

Pay no heed to misery,
nor to felicity,
in the end all turns to dust,
a life well-lived is a life of simplicity.

Walk towards divinity,
by overcoming greed, desire, ego and pain.
Rare is a proclivity for this path,
but big sacrifices do not go in vain.

Be content with what you possess,
or you’ll never have enough,
attain peace of mind,
and your life will not be tough.

A person shielded from sufferings is oblivious;
The evanescence of the materialistic world,
dawns at the time of death and despair.
Tis the time the value of greater things is unfurled.

Forsake not those,
whom you have pledged to protect.
Even when death stands in front of thee,
face it with your head held erect.

Guru Tegh Bahadur’s mantra is simple and precise;
selfless deeds are your elixir of life,
use the mortal body to help humanity,
and your name will be reincarnated and immortalized.
