To the doctors keeping us from being stricken ill
To the nurses working day and night, caring for patients with meager gear
To the brave souls soldiering on, battling against a ruthless virus
These professionals shine eternally through this darkest time
Navigating these uncharted waters, they are our finest heroes
Working miracles through their dedication
Facing insurmountable challenges, no praise is higher than the work they do
Heed their battle cries: stay home, be strong
Hail the saints

I wrote this piece at the start of the COVID-19 pandemic and I hope that it can be over soon. After one and a half years, those heroes are still fighting the virus and its Delta variant. Wear masks and get vaccinated to reduce the stress that the healthcare workers are facing all across the world.
