Quite a Pair
She talks in metaphors and cinema references of the past
He talks of science fiction and nature undone
They’re there for everyone but themselves
His sky is plastered with unspoken darkness
She adorns stars and cosmos to his endless, black sky
They take care of each other the only way they know how
She uses humor as a wall
He scales it with compassion and understanding
He fears forgetting his past
She is terrified of living the future
However
Their fear of life is forgotten as they dance amongst the raindrops, smiling and laughing, untethered by the weight of what’s to come
And
Hopelessly, obviously in love
