The Wronged Woman
There she stands, hair flowing,
saree billowing, tall as a tree.
he looks stunningly beautiful and ferociously angry at the same time.
Lips as red as rose petals, eyes filled with fury and rage.
If looks could kill, there would be a massacre around her.
Her dark hair left open, forms a halo around her.
Like a wronged angel she looks.
Her red saree flutters in the wind.
A vision that strikes fear, awe, and wonder.
Who is she? You ask.
Why is she so furious?, You ask me.
Well, if you knew, you would as angry as her.
She is a wronged woman, exploited by those around her, taken advantage of at every step of her life.
Till now, she took it silently, but no more!
No more will she take it.
No more will she meekly subject to those horrors!
She will fight and take revenge.
See her! See her go and cover in fright if you have wronged her.
Repent for your sins and stop, or she will unleash her most dangerous weapons on you.
The wronged woman takes back her power into her hands today!
She will no longer submit, but she will bring all of you down.
Her power is enough to destroy you all.
She is a wronged woman, but no longer will she be wronged!

I am Amrutha, a 12th-grade student at Oakridge International School, Bangalore. I plan to pursue biology in college.
Writing has always been a passion of mine, and literature has played a role in shaping the person I am today. I write poetry to express my thoughts and emotions, especially when the topic is important to me.
This poem means a lot to me. I wrote it when I was thinking about a woman who had been exploited by the industry she works in, and hence she is unleashing her feminine strength and anger over them as she will no longer tolerate their exploitation.
However, it could also represent the earth and how it is being exploited by humans. I interpreted COVID as the earth taking revenge on humans for their sins against the Earth.
