Forgotten Voices
After all the violence and pain we’re finally free from the suffering of slavery.
Has the pain been hauled?
We live, but are we truly living free, do we live as they do?
Voices of the mind are screaming louder and louder than ever
Urging you to fight.
Fight for your rights.
For your people.
For your family.
Against the injustice to you as a black person.
After years of bloodshed, tears, and death, are we really free?
Have the voices of the dead truly been heard by those still fighting for them?
Your mind becomes unhinged by the voices howling towards you, bellowing their hopes and dreams.
Asking after everything, are we finally done?
You don’t know.
You’re uncertain of what lies ahead of you.
For all of you.
Now only you are haunted by their cries.
Despite every drop of blood spilled.
Every cry unheard.
Fight.
For everything, you stand for.
Love.
Integrity.
Family.
Equality
