Burning Light
They claimed that I was bright,
A ball of light and joy,
Lighting a path ahead.
I tried to prove them right,
Keep the flame lit,
But the wind was restless.
They said I had a spark,
Destined to shine,
A drive unmatched,
A story to be told,
But all I did was burn.
