I am like a rose

delicate and pretty.

There are times

I forget I need sun

and slowly die within.

Just to come back

stronger as a lion.

Life is a trainwreck

with ups and down.

But as a rose

I see what’s more beautiful

within this world.

I am what brings others happiness.

I enjoy seeing the smiles

on the faces of others.

But I can't seem to find mine.

As a delicate flower

I am sensitive

and need reassurance.

There are times I blossom

and become the brightest in the room.

Making me the happiest

and enjoying everything I have.

Because I know it doesn’t last.
