The Adventures of Alice and Pooh
As Pooh looked behind him,
his sights locked on a jar.
A large jar labeled "Eat Me".
He thought, "How bizarre!"
He grabbed the jar and said,
"If you insist.
Your delicious contents
I cannot resist!"
He gobbled each bite,
And grew up so high
He lost sight of his feet
And his head touched the sky.
The more he ate,
the more he grew.
the less Hunny there was,
for me and you.
If only he had gone
for a healthy stroll,
but instead he ate
and fell down the rabbit hole.
In another rabbit hole,
in another place,
Alice couldn't budge.
For she had stuffed her face.
One week has now passed,
Alice surely needed baked goods.
A week with no food,
As she was trapped in The Hundred Acre Woods.
Trapped in different lives they were.
Similar in issues they were.
Eating was the crime,
and they sure did the time.

I wrote this piece because the two characters share similar mental illnesses and I wanted to share some of the similarities with the world. This poem is meant to be a children's poem, but I think the bigger picture can be seen by adults.
