my heart

You dropped my stained glass heart
Onto the floor
As if it was nothing at all
The splintered and cracked glass
Catches the sun rays
Illuminating the rooms
with greens and blues and yellows
Beautiful but broken
I picked up the pieces
One by one
Cutting my fingers
Carpet soaked with blood
I put my heart back together
All on my own
