Bird Statue
Although I am quite light to pick up, my thoughts are heavy, dark and well thought out
unfortunately they don't see my sharp mind
they see my sharp beak, but if you look you will find
an imprisoned bird trapped over centuries
forever destined to ponder over palm trees
I see the tourists come and go
but one thing stays the same and no one knows
as I stay I become more weary and cracked than last year
For the end I dont fear
I'm used to screaming cries that no one hears

I wrote this after seeing a very eerie, small bird statue on a vacation
