I am a mother,
born to me is
the inside of my womb.
Blood is the child
that I do not
desire to hold.
It heals me
but takes pieces of me
that I can't take back.
It causes so much pain
in so few days.
Eve,
why did you cause
such grief for your
daughters?
I feel my hips
move,
ready to give me
a child that my body
demands.
Instead, it only brings
to me
nausea.
