Problematic plastic
15,000 years ago the Olmec's played with rubber
Little did they know they would cause a future suffer
Parkes created plastic
Which seemed pretty fantastic
Then Baekeland made an even bigger discovery
WWll ended and everyone was enthusiastic
They started going crazy about all that plastic
Production was in ascent
Going up 400 percent
Piling up as trash and becoming pretty problematic
There was so much waste that we needed to recycle plastic
But it turned out that the problem was climactic
They labeled it all with chasing arrows
But we all know it not how that goes
It’s really only 10 percent which is pretty drastic
Recycling is good
But it’s been misunderstood
Bottles and cans are great
But plastic bags they hate
I hope you go and learn so our future is reassured
