A lace gown, a lace crown, and a heart of glass.

A queen of emperors, a kiss of gold, and a heart of shards.

A kiss forever, a promise for infinity.

Don’t love her, don’t touch her, don’t look at her.

Broken, despaired, invisible.

Forever locked away in my own kingdom.

Shaking and breathing and panting.

How will she ever be queen without a king?

“Oh Lords’ have mercy! In the Bible itself, a queen cannot be alone.”

Who will ever be my king if nobody can touch my shattered heart?

“Oh Lords’ have mercy! In the Bible itself, a queen cannot be invisible.”

My lips are sealed. I can’t open my eyes. Let me out.

“Oh Lords’ have mercy! In the Bible itself, a queen cannot be a warrior against demons.”

The role of the demon is only determined by who’s telling the story.

High heels off, bruised skin, soft soft skin on my dolled-up face.

Don’t touch me. Don’t break me. Don’t hurt me anymore.

Leave me here, forever. Leave me with the ocean and the breeze of the moon.

Let me fade away, wash away into the wind with your pitiful stares.

I am a doll, but if I open my eyes, open my lips, if I’m my own queen, will I become a demon?

This is a fictional piece about a broken princess who deals with keen emotions that she can't let out, trapped in her own mind whilst being alleged to royalty.
