Identity
Identity?
What a funny word,
A very confusing little thing
In today’s world.
Not knowing who you are as a person
Or who you want to be,
Always thinking you need a change
But in all honesty, you just don’t know who you are.
It takes courage to explore who you really are
We can not become who we want to be by remaining the same.
Fear nothing and embrace the challenge of learning who you are.
Stand strong, make a statement and proudly say your name
Trying to find yourself
It truly is really hard,
But loving yourself
Is even harder
Taking a step back from reality,
Figuring out who you truly are.
It can be complicated or overwhelming
But once you learn yourself,
It can be one of the greatest things.
Once you figure it out yourself,
It is truly one of the greatest things life has to offer.
You can finally look in the mirror,
Loving who you really are.
