High School Advice To My Younger Self

High school is 4 years.

It sounds like a long time when you're a freshman.

Now as a senior, it's hard to believe it's almost over.

Football games are the best part,

Cherish them.

Always live in the moment, even if you're just talking to your friends in the hall.

Make connections with your teachers,

They love saying hi to you as they watch you become older.

Get involved, it's such a good way to make friends.

Spend as much time with your family and friends as you can.

4 years might seem long in the moment.

Before you know it, high school will be over.

But all great things must come to an end,

Right?

Being a senior in high school is a big milestone. It's your last year ‘being a kid’ and you want to cherish every moment that you have left before it's gone. When you're a freshman, you feel like senior year is so far away, but before you know it, it's going to be your senior year and you won't believe how fast high school flew by. Even though school is not my favorite place to be every day, it's a way for me to connect with friends and teachers, and make amazing memories that I will never forget. Many tend to take things for granted, so even the little things like I mentioned in my poem such as football games, waving at your teachers, and just talking to your friends during passing periods, always matter. I liked this poem because even though high school is only 4 years long, and you feel like you're stuck here forever, the memories will always stay with you.
