“What does it feel like to die?”

“The same as living. Except it all comes at once.”

“How? What does it look like?”

“Hmm… people say that before you finally die your whole life flashes before your eyes.”

“Is that true?”

“No.”

“Then what is?”

“You ask a lot of questions.”

“And…and that’s a good thing, right?”

“Sometimes.”

“Oh…”     silence    “Hope you don’t mind me asking… but what’s your name?”

“Ohh, I’ve been called a-many a things. I, however, have never bound myself to something as constricting as a title.”

“So what should I call you?”

“Hmm… call me Ishmael.”

“From… Moby Dick, right?”

“Does it matter?”

“Uhh, I don’t know. I guess not.”

“Then call me that.”

“Got it. So, umm… my name is Rajo.”

“Rajo. Your name will fill many with hope.”

“Really?’’

“I do not lie. Life is too short to lie.”

“Oh, I get it. So then aren’t you going to tell me the secret of life or something?’’

“No.”

“Umm… why not?’’

“That is something you must accomplish on your own.”

“So, uh… could you give me a hint?”

“No, because you are already part-way there.”

“What? Part way to what?”

“The answer.”

“But how did I make it part way?”

“You found me.”

I do not remember when I wrote this, but it was some time long ago. One day I was going through my old scribbles and I found it again, which made me smile. I hope you enjoy.
