A Dance Among the Sand
A storm came upon us but our feet remained in the sand,
The mist of rain in the air and the smiles on our faces.
No, this storm was not planned
But the unexpected is our best graces.
We danced to the rhythm of the waves
as rain fell without mercy.
The little crabs went into their caves
Yet, we stayed without worry
The wind pushed us off our balance,
And the waves came just after
Enough to crumble a sand palace,
Yet, we only worried about our laughter
If nights are as long as they say,
Then I don’t want to spend them any other way.
A moment was stolen,
A moment ours with no words spoken.
