A Metal Picket Fence MAG
a metal picket fence
I am forced to climb
on the outside looking in
at what I wish
to grab
to hold
to break bread with
it is so close
yet out of reach
between my brain
and a never-ending mentality
the signs shouting “private property”
fill the capacity of my body
swollen up
with red lights and flashing signals
pulled back
by heartless motives
and broken sequels
to stories that should have never been told
I don't wish
to see this metal picket fence
I don't wish
to be forced to climb
but how else
will I receive what's mine?

Sometimes we wish that we can hold someone/something, however, that 'thing' is blocked off my obstacles (a fence), yet, we must overcome these difficulties in order to recieve what you want/what you deserve to have.
