Lost in the Woods
No signal,
No food,
No shelter,
No map,
Which means no way out.
Stomach rumbling with hunger,
Bones shaking with the cold gusts of wind,
Trying to get out,
But just going in circles,
Everytime you think your at the end,
You’re still at the same spot.
The wild rapids in the river,
Going so fast,
It’s making you unbalanced,
And dizzy,
Making sure you won’t fall and drown,
There's just no hope of getting out,
You're just lost in the cold, damp, windy, dark, lonely woods.
Running and looking,
Going left and right,
Twists and turns,
As your running looking like an ant in the big woods,
The sun goes down.
Starting to get cold,
Bones shivering,
You can’t even focus with your stomach,
Empty and growling at you like a dog when it sees a cat,
Legs shaking,
Your legs snap easily like toothpicks,
And down you go,
Plopping down on the ground,
All you can see is you surrounded by trees,
On the ground you,
Just sitting hopelessly for someone to come.
Days and days just searching for food,
You have one drinking source in the woods,
The river,
But all you taste is bland, yucky, dirty, muddy water,
Trying to think of ideas,
To not die,
And to live and get out as soon as possible.
Sticks on the ground,
You put them to spell something big,
Once your done you slowly see,
A grey oval coming down from the sky,
You hear wind,
You hear home calling your name,
As the helicopter comes to save you from the dark woods.
