I drive you on your great days

And tear you down on your worst

I am as draining as holding the world on your shoulders 

I am inside of you, telling you how to feel

You may never get rid of me

You may  try to silence me  

But I will always be that little voice in your head, 

You try to control me

You talk to me and try to negotiate with me

Telling me that you want today to be a good day

I say otherwise

I make you feel alone in a crowded room’

I am the reason you dont want to get out of bed for school

I am the reason you turn your assignments in late 

I make you push the people close to you away

I make you miss the old you, 

The old you that never cared about the little things as much as you do now 

I make you feel like nobody understands you. 

I control your plans

I control your days

But hey, dont listen to me,

I’m just a little voice inside your head.
