End of a Lifetime

A single "Bang!"
A fall.
A thud.
Blood spatter upon the wall and,
by his side,
an empty gun.
A single bullet
ripped through his skull.
His eyes glazed over,
their sparkle dulled.
Of being depressed,
he'd given no sign.
He'd always acted like
he was just fine, but
life was unkind and
his loved ones were blind
to the pain he kept hidden
deep down inside.
It was a grisly end nobody thought he'd have
because nobody suspected his lifetime
would end with suicide.
