seen but not heard
I am seen but not in the way you think.
I am seen by people I don't even know. At the store
on the way to school being seen by the people I fear.
They look and they judge me for the things I wear, people I'm with or talk to.
misunderstanding the way I go about my days alone.
Staying inside keeping my voice small trying not to be seen in the wrong way.
I force myself to hide behind the wall I put u. To stay safe and try not to be seen.
Until being seen is the only way to stand up against all of the hateful words people throw at you.
So you use that wall to block out the words instead of letting them push through and get to you.
Until you are seen in the way you want to be.
