Believe
A small weak smile stretches across her narrow face.
Even though the guilt, shame, pain, and sorrow..
they impale her heart like an arrow.
like an artist drawing a small thin line on a canvas,
a weighed down perspective.
She still manages to carry herself.
No matter how hard she tries.
There’s an element of exhaustion around her.
through the trials and tribulations of the everyday life she lives.
Her past acts like shackles.
Binding her urge to move forward.
Hoping each day will sprout into a better one.
A broken spirit and a loud mind.
Drags her down into a pit of despair and misery.
Though, she still manages to produce a smile.
A thunderous rumble bellows deep inside her mind
Her emotions and thoughts constructing a bloody battle to fight for a spot to overtake.
However, In a sea of hopelessness.
Despite the days that seemingly linger.
like a cloud full of cold rain.
She still smiles.
She still believes.
Things will get much much better.
