Begging

I’m used to begging at this point
it’s all I ever do
begging for attention
from my parents
begging for forgiveness
from my friends
is love something I have to beg for?
the love I receive is always conditional
it’s never an answer
always a question
is it really there if I have to ask?
but then again maybe I’m just ungrateful
awful for taking it for granted
I should be happy
I shouldn’t feel this way
I have no right to be depressed
I haven’t seen enough of this world yet
why does it hurt so badly?
