falling in love
i drown.
and the air smells of flowers.
my body dips into glaze
and i am coated with gloss.
falling
falling
falling
i see specks of gold—
they shine with vigor
as they meet eyes with the sun.
it is so beautiful to fall
but i am terrified.
i must find a way out
but why should i?
i grip at nothing
and the thickness chokes me.
my vision is blurry,
the smell of flowers stifling.
and it is so beautiful.
