"chemistry between people is the strangest science of all" - Bridgett Devoue

A greater power basks His light down on

Our life in ways indescribable,

Pieces of things that draw us in close.

We attempt to make things more beautiful.

We are drawn to symmetry, the god-like beauty

In which He is present.

He sees that,

And so do we.

We gravitate towards qualities,

Smart, humorous, cautious.

Perhaps they are qualities we already possess

Or they are qualities He wants us to become.

He draws us in close, in church,

In temple, through our religion.

We are mesmerized by His accomplishments and

Do our best to make Him proud.

We think we see Him in His light,

At His peak, in all His glory,

But we don’t.

You do.

Without a manual or some instructions,

You blindly believe.

Without a blueprint for your faith,

You believe in capital-S Something,

Something that helps you shine in an

Insurmountable number of ways.

You believe without a heaven or h*ll,

Without confirmation of your beliefs.

You see everything in its

Full potential and it echoes across your life.

Teach me.

Teach me how to fully depend on what I cannot see,

To appreciate His indescribable beauty and to

Relish in His creation.

The final piece in SensesSight discusses seeing, believing, and believing in the invisible through a religious medium. I've seen people who truly understand religion in a heightened and unique way that completely changes how they view the world, and these people (who will remain unnamed for anonymity's sake) inspired this piece.
