Daughters are made for dads.

The connection between us is undeniable.

That moment I scrape my knee,

I'm convinced the world is ending.

A great pain is lifted as daddy saves the day.

Stepping on his toes at the daddy daughter dance.

There comes a brief time in growing up,

When boys don’t understand some things,

And that’s okay.

Distance was upon us for only a blip.

Now, my dad was my first true love.

The only man I need to love.

I have fallen into an abyss of love with boys, who didn’t deserve it.

Some people call us dumb and dumber,

Like daddy like daughter.

But nothing will change the love I have for my dad.

He loves me like no tomorrow.

My one and only light forever.

I wrote this piece about me and my dad because I have a strong connection with him and I just wanted to share our love and relationship in a poem.
