A Dream That Walked Through The Mind
A dream I've had
A passion I must fulfill
A thrive I must earn
Basketball is my vision
From the squeaking of the shoes
To the heart of the team
From practice to the game
From the buzzer to the whistle
From a layup to a free throw
From the wins to losses
A moment of love
A moment of silence
A moment of hesitation
I glanced at the rim
It glanced back
The ball goes up
Gravity takes it down
5,4,3,2,1………
Shock ran through the body like lightning through the sky
“Swish”
A dream that came to life.
