Happy Space
My happy space is that of pure serenity
It is always golden hour
Sunlight streams in through windows of satin curtains
The stained glass leaves colored reflections on the warm floor
The veridium plants glow in their ceramic pots illuminated by the light
Their soil rich and sustaining
A cup of tea is waiting on the nightstand
The aroma filling the room
A candle burns on the dresser, the scent mixing beautifully with the tea
Everything is clean and well placed
As if orchestrated by someone filled with love
I am still sleeping
My warm comforter keeping me safe from whatever stress the outside world presents
A cat sleeps by my feet
I don’t have anything to do today
No assignments
No lectures
No anxiety
No one relies on me for anything
I am not a daughter
I am not a granddaughter
I am not a sister
I am myself, and I can rest easy knowing
That I owe nothing to anyone for being alive
