Move
I look at the road ahead
To stay where I am would be living as if dead
But if I move forward, destruction is probable
Will failure crush me if I prove incapable
I take a step off the cliff, hoping to fly
I won't back down without giving it a try
I take a breath and move, no more looking back
For this journey, I did not pack
But that doesn't matter
Because I am a fighter

I am an autistic 13 year old who is an avid reader and writer. This poem is about taking the next step in life. It is a choice accompanied by fear, but I chose to take that step, because I need something to change.
