Her face perfectly round
With hair that’s brown like coffee grounds
And eyes that rival the stars
A slender nose and skin that glows
Like a lighthouse in midst of a monsoon
An energy as bright as a yellow sun
With limbs like broken wings
that carry tons
And a heart like a needle in a haystack

Originally this piece was written for a friend of mine but over time and the more I revised it it began to become this really interesting expression of how I see this person so hopefully whoever reads this will be reminded of someone in their own life
