They say home is where the heart is

But, I have loved so many.

So, I guess my home is shattered

Now I don’t have any.

My life has been a journey,

That I no longer want to roam

So please, just...take me home.

I can still hear the trumpet sounding

On a midsummers day.

We race along the sidewalk

On our way to play.

We battled mighty villains

And played with tops made of chrome.

So please, just.. take me home.

The time came for you to leave me,

This time I'm the one to stay.

I thought this would last forever

But, for that thought I would pay.

Everything that we built here

is now broken and overgrown.

So please, just... take me home.

A few travels later,

I had to, again, start anew.

I came back to my hometown

But, by that time I already knew;

My heart is everywhere now.

Even so, I feel alone

So please, just… take me home.

Please, just... take me home.
