When He Died
His life went away,
Off into the night.
They couldn’t pull him from the light.
It will be hard to live alone this way.
When he left this year,
He was young, not old.
The water must not have been told.
It is the end, but he is near.
Since he went into the sea,
I have seen other men since then,
But they all left me.
I want to see my man again.
I will live until again it’s we
And I will be with my man then.

I wrote this from the POV of an imaginary character. Lol, don't judge it too harshly.
