I don’t tell the universe about just anyone
But I have singed to her about you
How I see you in her clouds beneath the blue and pink hues
I can’t stop looking at the moon because I wonder if your looking at it too

And how I hated my name until I heard it on your lips
Affixed on your face, as you mutter sweet tones
Like honey seeping into my brain, breaking through the cracks of conversation
Penetrating past the meaning of friend, oh much more I do intend

And how your presence makes her atmosphere warm
Even in snow and storm
My heart is warm
A buzz fluttering through my body, one I cannot explain to her
It’s if we live in the tranquility of the sunrise, content and conjoined
With dew dripping from the sleeping grass
Quiet mornings slip past

I confided in her that I know your secrets, the ones beneath the smiles
The cruel and covered
Past the candy and sweet lies because I don’t think I want anything more than to know you
To know you as much as the lines around your eyes
To be you like the skin sewed on your body
To know you like the clouds who drape the sun when it’s foggy
I just wish I knew if you loved me as much as I loved you
