hieronymus bosch
i wake and
there you lay
still and empty
such a stark contrast to how you seemed
when you were full
i face my reality
cold concrete
strangers
foul odor
thirst and hunger linger in the air
what is this hell you’ve lured me into
my hieronymus bosch
look
look at what you’ve painted me in
you promised trips to lush gardens
but drowned me in lakes
and tangled me in weeds
and now i’m here
with needle tracks scaring my arms
