Quiet Heroes
November 11th of every year,
We honor those who fought
for our freedom and lives.
Although we may take for granted
all they do, their dedication is presented daily.
When you hear the trumpets playing the National Anthem,
put your hand upon your heart,
remove your hat, and refrain from talking.
Honor the heroes from present and past.
Their hard work sometimes goes unnoticed.
We do not know what they witnessed for our country,
acknowledge the bravery of these quiet heroes daily.
Not just on November 11th of every year.
Quiet heroes.
