Why I Will Not Get Out Of Bed

Overhead the lights are bright,
vindictive in their glare.
Early in the morning light,
I hide beneath my hair.
My body yearns again for night,
caught in its eternal snare.
The sun, it roars its head in spite,
yet I stay without a care.
