Trauma
Confusion, fear, anger, sadness
Everything was leading in the wrong direction
She was hurt, and we all panicked, I had no idea how to react
Pounding on the door erupted through the whole house.
Everyone jumped up.
*POW*
The first shot went off.
“He’s got a gun patty”
We all jumped when we heard the second.
“Take the baby”
We all separated in different directions not having any clue how to react.
Blood dripped down her face.
We hid, alone, the four of us, in that room.
5 minutes went by.
She ran out of the room, and went to go see if nicole was ok
“Its really bad”
I ran around to look, look at daisy.
And I didnt know what to do
She was covered in blood. It dripped down her face, Into her eyes, her mouth
“Get out”
We jumped up, once again.
I had daisy.
She had the baby
And we waited outside. We waited for minutes...
Every one of us was shocked
August 25 2019 I experienced a huge trauma
A trauma that will forever impact my life
Some days hurt, some don’t
So now
I move forward.

This piece explains something traumatic I went through. Something that left me lost, and confused on how to feel. My life changed after August 25 2019, my best friend lost her aunt, and her uncle. On her birthday, and I was there to witness everything, we experienced something life changing together.
