Youth
Two houses away from mine a quiet man lives with his dog
The man's son was frail but cruel misguided by the man's hate
The man's wife meek
She only spoke when spoken to
but unspoken rules keep her cooking
Cleaning.
In the shady house that never had lights
her dread and exhaustion shone brightest
But there was still a happy dog
Trained by violence, she never lost her puppies sheen
Shot at yelled at kicked and abused
But the man always whispered, walked in a disposed manner
Before answering the door naked and warning you of his many guns
He hid his anger with a rosy-cheeked Santa like smile
but behind his eyes lies is a mind filled with tar
the wife stuck in the tar is a can of gasoline he ignites
the son falls from the sky as black soot coating the ground
There is nothing left but ash
