Thinking of Rain
Like a rainy day
Not a flood
I am reminded
Your soft touch
I reach out for your hand
It disappears
It was never there
Only a figure of my imagination
The rain comes and goes
Just like the thoughts of you
Sometimes it pours
Sometimes it drizzles
I feel haunted by the thought of you
The white noise echoing from the rain
Hitting the ground outside
Is hitting me on the inside
I enjoy the sunny days
Not the rainy ones
Because on the rainy ones
I think of you
On stormy nights
My head hurts
My heart aches
These feelings anchor me down
No more juice boxes
And movie nights
They have all gone down the drain
The inside jokes will forever be in vain
What I miss the most
Is everything about you
Nothing specific
Just you, and your presence
I always use an umbrella
I try to stay in the shade
Or stay in the sunshine
Away from the rain
