I am part of you.

You are nothing without me

Nor me stable without you.

It is true you must protect me,

but protect all of me you must.

It is necessary I trust you

Yet trust all of you I can't.

You must understand when you antagonize a part of me

You wage war on all of me.

You say you understand my struggle

But you never help me overcome it.

You say there is fairness

But I feel like a pawn on a chessboard.

You even ignore the pleas from both yours and my home

And watch it burn.

And I should trust you?

You left me no choice.

I watched as you sacrificed my fellow pawns.

I waited for you to stop playing the game

But you waited too long.

I've reached the edge of the board and have more power than ever.

I now see you were never my king

Instead played the other hand.

You always made the first move

But now it's my turn.

This is meant to be a piece relevant to current events the United States. It was meant to be done earlier in the year, but the meaning should still hold through.
