Breathtaking Simplicity

I began before you, I exist all over.

Even in the spaces you’ve polluted with your structures made of simple shapes.

I’ve been used for product, I’ve been stomped on.

As the years continue, the more I feel neglected.

You busy people walk quickly, your eyes fixated on new shiny inventions.

Your minds are clouded with work, stresses, people, trivial thoughts, some extreme.

Do you forget I gave you a home?

Do you forget that everyday I look a little different, all for you?

Please stop for just a moment.

Allow me to clear your mind, by witnessing my breathtaking simplicity.

If you’re sick of the noise, the buzzing of life,

focus on the calm noise I provide for you.

The crashes of my waves, the rustling of my leaves, the whipping of my wind.

Look at the calmness of my moon, the vitality of my sun, the canvas of my sky.

Don’t make me your center of attention, I understand it is hard.

But please don’t forget me.

Don’t forget my creatures, all have a purpose.

I may not know your name, but I serve you nonetheless, I always have.

So allow me to introduce myself,

I am nature.
