Just a girl
there was once a girl.
they said she was just a girl, but no one knew nothing more.
Her mind was open but never exposed.
Her eyes went where the wind blows.
Was out peering through the intent of lost souls.
In her mind, she was everything she wanted to be,
with no eyes peering outside the film.
A Hero, a villian, a healer,
her ego, was tall but outside her mind it was dim,
fragile,
because all was really was a girl, to others,
just a girl.
And in an ordinary day, in any ordinary way,
every waking moment was the same,
trying to prove others your nothing but lame,
and taming your words,
in desperation,
a desperate bid in exchange of smiles and friendly greetings.
I don't get enough of those.
But I still peer out, my eyes follow where the wind blows,
my ears peer where the band plays.
Perks up upon discordancy,
and which my heart beats faster,
and my eyes widen.
I've learned to smile at oncoming chaos,
only because I lack in adventure.
