This Is a Photograph of Me
It was taken three years ago
First it seems to be
Clear, clean and calm print
Sharp lines and bright colors.
Than, you scan
It, you see a whole different world:
Odd shapes and mix of colors
Undefined objects, make you wonder
What could it be.
In the background there are
Fluffy white clouds,
That looks like candy cotton,
Makes you reach out and taste it.
(The photograph was taken
The day after the plane crashed.
I’m in the plane in the
Center of the picture, looking out of the window.
It is challenging to see where exactly, or to see
How far or close I am:
The effect of the sun
Makes you squint
And everything is blurry.
But if you take more time
Eventually will be able to see me.)
