Forgiveness
You may hurt my feelings with your
words, crushing my spirit with your hate,
but I will forgive
You can take everything away from me,
Leaving me with nothing, feeling left out
And all alone, but then I will forgive.
You may give me pain, covering my righteous
soul with bruises that are unhealable, scaring
my heart for life, and yet I will forgive
You can condemn me to the fiery pits of hell
Itself, roasting my flesh to a crisp, hearing my
screams for help and doing nothing about it,
but in the end, I will forgive
As long as there is light at the end of the tunnel,
A shed of white grass in a pitch-black terrain
I will forgive
But if you hurt someone I love, even if I should,
I will not
