I Wish
I wish school wasn’t a chore
I wish we wouldn’t call everyone a wh**e
I wish grades wouldn’t define our futures
I wish our flaws weren't all the we featured
I wish we wouldn’t have to feel unsafe in our schools
I wish everyone would stop acting like fools
I wish stereotypes didn’t define who we were
I wish we didn’t have to live in a blur
I wish we could learn to love and to live,
and find a better way to forgive.

This piece means a lot to me because it is something I have seen myself. Being a highschool student is hard and can negatively effect many students. I have hope that we can learn to love and support each other instead of finding ways to bring each other down.
